Recently my uncle turned 80 and we all got together to celebrate. As the night was winding down (8 pm), we gathered at my Mom's house for some cake and conversation. Of course, I had to bring out the bubbles. Shown here are my Aunt Claire and my nephew Timmy who got into some serious bubble blowing. Others at the table seemed oblivious to the swirls of bubbles about them. More relatives engaged in the bubbly festivities that night. I'll be posting more videos as I get to them.

This video was taken at my brother's birthday party last week. It was held in Colchester, VT, a little outside of Burlington. Guess what? They gave out goodie bags to the kids and they had bubbles in them. Really, this wasn't my doing.

This video is not of my brother, but of a dad and his daughter at the party, intense with their bubbles. Though not a lot of bubbles were blown, they seemed very content and bonded together. The best phrase is "Why isn't Barney on it?"

Today's Daily Bubble (#31) shows some footage of why I can't blow bubbles on the deck right now (blizzard) and shows us some previously unseen footage of days long ago (january) when I could. The footage of the deck was taken on the morning of the 19th when the snow had just begun to fall. Anything you see on that deck is currently inaccessible under many feet of snow.

that's about how many inches of snow we got - or at least it feels that way. And, coincidentally the number of daily bubbles we've done. I've just gotten back from an hour and a half of snow shoveling, so the bubble tonight might not be up till tomorrow. However, I've got lots of family bubbling footage from a birthday last week. So stay tuned... the bubble lives on.

Update: So here it is. Obviously not taken today in the blizzard. It was taken on January 19, 2007 when times were simpler in Burlington Vermont. A person could go outside without being blown down the street by gale force winds. I could go on the deck and blow bubbles. Today, I can't even open the door of the deck. Enjoy.

Valentine's Day has brought a blizzard to Burlington Vermont. What to do in this mass of snow and wind? Blow bubbles of course. Daily Bubble #29 shows me in the middle of the street, blowing bubbles. Watch me walk over snowbanks. See a car. Yes, just one car. Watch the wind blow bubbles without my help. All in all, it was a wonderful Valentine's Day.

daily bubble #25 - a box of bubbles!

I got the delivery of bubbles I ordered awhile ago. As you recall, I was searching for an online bubble source for pustefix bubbles and found one. I ordered some pustefix refills as well as two other types of bubbles.

This self-filmed video (the first of two) shows me opening up the box of bubbles, "checking in" the merchandise (note: there was a surprise in that box) and evaluating one of the new brands of bubbles.

This video from YouTube is just so cute. Nice bubble blowing and note the huge bottle of bubbles she has.

Google video is still processing the video I uploaded yesterday. I think the quality of the final product in Google Video is better than YouTubes, but if they take a whole day to process, what will I do... what will I do?

pure frantic fun

That's what the label says on Kookamunga Catnip Bubbles, purchased at the Pet Food Warehouse in South Burlington, Vermont. So for The Daily Bubble #21 we tried to engage Zoe in some of the festivities that the catnip bubbles promised to bring. I do believe frantic is pushing it a bit, though of course you are welcome to judge for yourself. I edited out the parts of this video where Zoe was cleaning herself.

Still waiting for #17 to finish processing at google video. It's been sitting there for over a day. I tried another upload today and the same thing happened. So, there we go, still in Google video limbo. My ability to spread bubbling good are dampened by the Google machine.
